Something to think about...
Hey Everyone. I write Christian articles and studies for my sites but I really feel led to posting this one here. I hope no one minds...
Oh and I want yall to know that I love yall. Even if we never got a chance to meet, I still love yall.
What would you do if you knew today was your last day here on earth? About this time last year I had a dream where an angel told me to get my things in order because I had one day before God was going to call me home. I was so happy that I started dancing and singing "I'm going home!!!" And then I went around to everyone I love to tell them how much they mean to me and ask them to live their life so that when it's their time, God will call them home where we can be together for eternity...
Now I know that was just a dream but when my time comes, I want to know that I did and said everything that needed to be done and said... that the ones I love know that I love them... that I represented my Lord well enough that maybe I had some sort of influence in their lives... and that when their time comes... we'll be spending eternity together in heaven.
The next question might be a little bit more difficult to think about. What if today was the last day you would spend with someone you love because it is their last day? What would be more important... saying "I love you" or "I'm right?" What argument would be worth the energy and time?
My 14 year old daughter went to heaven a year and a half ago. I left for work, had a few conversations with her on the phone... and then she was gone. I almost lost my 17 year old son in the same accident and then I almost lost him again a few months later when he tried to take his life...
James 4:14 says Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Don't take for granted that you can tell someone how you feel tomorrow because tomorrow is not promised. Tell them now!!! Tell them every single day what they mean to you!!!
Think about what you say before you say it. If it's something you'll regret later, is it worth saying at all?
Forgive!!! Even if the other person doesn't ask for it! Forgiveness allows you to take back the power that anger steals. Think about when you'll be standing before God and your actions are being judged and you hear the word... Forgiven... now share that feeling with others!!!
Represent your Lord so well that when it's your time to be called home, you will hear the words "well done, good and faithful servant"...
and that you will have been some sort of influence to those you love so that they will want to follow!!!
This life is but a vapor...
But eternity?
Now that's something to live for today!!!
